active kidz shanghai (aks) is a non-profit, volunteer organization that has been operating in shanghai for over 10 years. aks is dedicated to providing quality sports and recreational programs to the expatriate community of shanghai. it offers safe, well-run activities for children from age 3 at many locations in gubei, pudong, and minhang. through its activities, aks hopes to promote the development of physical and social skills, while emphasizing the importance of teamwork, good sportsmanship, individual creativity, self-confidence, respect for others, and community participation. activities include soccer, baseball, basketball, tennis, field hockey, ballet, kungfu, swimming, golf and gymnastics. for more information about aks programs, please visit www.activekidz.org
